Alfonso Bruno
BEST NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR 2011
Alfonso Bruno won the best newcomer award 2011, having put in a lot of good and hard work in the past year. His City Manager Andy Rowen had these nice things to say about him:
"Carpet Cleaning, Windows doing, cleaning done – Alfonso Bruno and his team of cleaners Bella and Janet now look after 30% of the total contracts in Birmingham, and all the extra work that any of my 20+ clients want. He has deep cleaned and spring cleaned, help move and put up hand towel dispensers, and even covered me while I am on holiday. No job is too much (sounds like the start of the A Team!)
Alfonso is everything we could want in a partner, supportive, responsive and makes time for Clean Space customers whenever they need him. He comes to all events and meetings with an open mind and a positive attitude. He is a pleasure to work with and we are really pleased he is on our team.

Charlie Mowat
Managing Director
Charlie is the leader of the company and a man who is committed to changing the way cleaners are treated and paid in the industry. He is a graduate of Oxford University and has a background in management consultancy. A keen sportsman. If he's not in the office he'll be up a mountain somewhere.
Ed Heaver
Operations Director
Having spent 15 years in the pub industry with Allied Breweries, Wizard Inns and Laurel in both operations and commercial, Ed has now set up an age-test business and a commercial consultancy as well as playing a greater role in The Clean Space, a company he has been involved in since 2004.
He has a degree in Geography from Liverpool University and Masters from Manchester Metropolitan University in Retail Management. Married to Sarah who works in the criminal justice system he has 3 boys, 2 guinea pigs and 1 cat.
His latest project is to become Charlie’s manager in the music world.
Jade Craig
Client Services and Compliance Manager
Italian born Jade joined us in January 2009 after spending over 13 years in the Pubs & Clubs industry.
Jade Studied Graphic design and Classical art which is a rare combo but may explain why she is a mistress of the dark arts!
A bit of a tough nut, Jade is certainly not one to cross and doesn't have a shy bone in her body!
Andy Rowen
Head of Birmingham
Andy joined The Clean Space in October 2010, opening the country’s fourth city, Birmingham, to the ways of the Clean Space. Formerly from the licensed retail world of beer, pubs and clubs, he enjoys not having to go to lots of different pubs and bars every day! In his spare time Andy enjoys sharing good food, especially all the produce he has grown himself, and fine wine with his friends and then running it all off on the squash court. Living in the West Midlands he hopes over time to spread the word of Clean Space further afield in the Midlands.
Nathan Farr
Head of Operations - London
Nathan the Sheffield Steeler; but originally from Rotherham, is the Senior Pro of the Operations Team. When not attending music festivals he can be found at the Book Club on Kilburn High Road, sipping on a latte and discussing the merits of existentialism.
Mackenzie Chapman
Contract Manager
Mackenzie for some time knew he had it lurking in him, and thus made a step over to the darker side of the force - Operations (from Sales). Beyond swinging carrier bags in tropical climates, he is a keen fan of golf, boxing and the contents of online encyclopedias. As if his duties didn't keep him busy enough, Mackenzie is one of two masterminds behind our website.
Chloe Embury
Sales Executive
Don't be fooled by her size, Chloe is the gannet of the team. A Psychology graduate from Brighton who loves hugging her team mates. Chloe is very upbeat, always willing to leap at a moments' notice to an impromptu meeting. Careful observers will notice that due to her height Chloe never learned to walk, and she can only stand still or run.
Stefano Cabras
Finance Manager
Whilst looking after our people and the environment, we also need to look after our finances. Stefano is that man, ACCA qualified, a degree in Finance and 12 years previously working in foreign exchange retail, he manages all things that are money. His free time is mostly spent with his lovely Jamaican wife, two children and he enjoys tennis, football, eating, drinking, partying and gambling – Only kidding!
Aaron Ferron
Telemarketing Manager
Aaron, resident of sunny-side North London, spends most of his free time either partying downtown or teaching at his taekwondo dojang. A massive lover of Martial Arts, Aaron studied Biochemistry at Royal Holloway University of London. He also listens to scary rock music.
Marie Irapah
HR Assistant
Marie recently joined our HR team after a long civil service career developing various policies and working with Ministers. Marie is married, has two teenagers, is bilingual and enjoys French food as well as it’s countryside. She also loves a good game of Scrabble.
Paul Johnson
Central Ops Support
Paul spent 4 years at Croydon College studying Business, Retail and Administration completing his introduction, first diploma and national diploma courses in that time. Used to play in the Combined Counties Football League. He once was awarded the 2nd best diver medal out of all the schools in Croydon in year 6 (not football diving!!!) A die hard Charlton Athletic fan since watching his cousin Richard Rufus play for them at the age of 6... He’s never looked at another team since!
Gabriel Benjamin
Telemarketer
Gabriel, hailing from the frozen tundra of Reykjavík, went to the University of Edinburgh for a Master's degree in Philosophy. A fan of environmentally suistainable and ethical policies, the Clean Space was a natural fit for him. A big fan of grappling and MMA, Gabriel misses the cold weather from up North, but not as much as he misses his cat. Being as tech-savvy as he is, Gabriel also helps maintain the website with Mackenzie.
Ibrahim Oberon
Telemarketer
Ibrahim hails from the heart of Essex. Before coming to the Clean Space, Ibrahim studied for 3 years as an Arts Practitioner in Surrey. He comes in three days a week and spreads ethical love via emails and phonecalls. His interests include Music, Theatre and Comedy.

Halina Adamska
North West England Regional Manager
Before joining the Clean Space as the Manchester City manager Halina spent 20 years as a Project Manager, expanding businesses all over the UK. She has travelled far and wide to experience the most beautiful places in the world, cycling thousands of miles through countryside and valleys. Her latest obsession is snowboarding which she loves with such a passion that if the hobby were to propose to her, she'd probably say "Yes!"
Andrew "Vinny" Davey
South West England Regional Manager
Andrew has twenty four years’ experience in the pub industry and was up until recently working as a qualified mortgage consultant, but he doesn’t like to brag about it! Hailing from Exeter in Devon, Andrew is married with three lovely children (Olivia, Benjamin and Esmé). Andrew has been very enthusiastic in expanding The Clean Space to the South West of England.
Glenn Perry
Head of The Clean Space West
Glenn joined us in 2006 as a Contract Manager and was promoted to Head of Operations a year later. He then made the jump and was Head of the Sales Team where he used his knowledge of the business to win new clients.
Glenn has since traded the London madness for the rolling mountains of Wales where he has set up Clean Space West!
April Collingwood
Contract Manager/City Manager Brighton
April, hailing from Newcastle, joined us in September 2009, now looks after a vast number of our London clients, our clients in Guildford and is leading The Clean Space's expansion to Brighton! April's background is primarily in managing clubs in Australia and UK, and has done a great deal of travelling in between. When not monitoring our operations with unparalleled diligence, she enjoys Arts & Crafts, Fishing, Parachuting, Waterskiing and generally any hair raising activity!
Vicki Holmes
Contract Manager
Vicki "Don't Judge me by my Sunglasses" Holmes has worked as a casual member of The Clean Space Team for over two years, and after a recent mid-life crisis, she’s thrilled to dive head first into her new role as a full time Contract Manager. A keen runner and cyclist, Vicki loves sport and exercise. She also recently ran for a local charity raising over £500.
James Clements
Sales Manager
James covers West London where he likes to speak grammatically correct and use his posh accent. After his experience of living in Australia, James is worldly man who knows plenty of useless information about thousands of pointless topics!
In his spare time he can be found arguing in the mirror or dancing in an un-coordinated fashion at dance clubs.
He once played a stand in for Peter Tork of the 60's hit band The Monkees.
Vicky Constance
Sales Executive
Vicky has just moved to London to join the CSP from Cheltenham, and graduated from Bristol Uni. She found her way to the bosom of the Clean Space having worked for Charlie and Ed's other brain child, Serve Legal. Her hobbies mostly involve laughing and talking, usually quite loudly and in the office. The other week she accidentally got too excited and told a client "I love you’’. She also loves goats.
Leyla Jeylani
Finance Assistant
Leyla is the newest member of the Clean Space team, and she comes with a lot of experience. With an Economics & Accountancy Graduate from City University, she was a supervisor at Primark Ltd, and she won the 2004 Best Young Entrepreneur award in Brent for the very profitable business she ran alongside her schoolwork. On top of that she loves spending time with her big family (especially her younger brothers and sisters).
Mayur Patel
Accounts Assistant
Mayur is our second youngest member of the Finance Team, in the second year of his BSc in Finance and Business Management. He was ranked 13th in London for table tennis and also awarded a Jack Petchey award. His cricket team shares similar success receiving the Shining Through Award from Newham Council.
Ricardo Ramalho
Service Manager
"The Captain" - Born in Lisbon, Portugal. Has worked everywhere between Scotland and Brazil (which leaves England). 5 Years experience in the cleaning industry, he's a success story of the company, starting as a cleaner, has worked his way up the ranks to the role of Service Manager. The "go to guy" and huge assett to the team, he loves tattoos and the internet.
Charlotte Jones

Charlotte (from the little mining village Nantyglo) is still in shock that she did not need her passport to cross over the Severn Bridge when she moved to the Big Smoke to seek her fortune. A rather chatty member of the team, she thoroughly enjoys calling companies to natter about the environmental issues of their office and making life long friends.
Katy Sitchel

Katy, our beloved Londoner of few words. Joined The Clean Space via a fine bit of networking through a friend and now we have the pleasure of her company! She can wiggle her ears, voluntarily most of the time and loves cows with a fringe.
