 Why We're DifferentWe're different because we care. At The Clean Space Partnership we have strong ethical values that result in a high level of service to our clients (without costing them more).
Our ethics cover three areas: At the Clean Space our cleaning operatives are our business partners. Instead of exploiting them, we invite them to invest in our business. They are not paid an industry-standard low wage for a dead end job with no prospects, no training and no respect. Instead, they part-own the contracts they service and receive the bulk of the fees. With that ownership comes responsibility and pride - the responsibility of ensuring that their contracts are highly serviced and pride in a job well done. Furthermore, we give our cleaning operatives real support. They get comprehensive training and the advice and assistance of a dedicated Manager. They are part of a team that values their work and cares about their welfare. We do this for two reasons. 1) we get that nice glow that comes from being nice to people and 2) we believe that happier cleaners means happier clients. On top of this, we manage our clients professionally. That means a regular monthly visit from your Contract Manager to discuss how things are going and proper insurance, Health & Safety compliance, and checks on our cleaners to make sure they're legal to work in the UK. Across all of our sites we use eco-friendly cleaning products that minimise the impact on the environment (without sacrificing quality to you). Of course, there are some things that just can't be cleaned without a bit of chemical but where we can, we avoid using anything that damages the water table. We use a product called Rainbow that contains natural bacteria (like the ones in your tummy) that literally eat the dirt. Crazy stuff we know, but it works. We also have a full range of eco-friendly consumables. Fully recycled toilet rolls (that still feel soft...), degradable plastic bin liners, Ecover washing up liquid and hand soap, plus a lot more. Check our online shop here for the full range. We know what it's like in a commercial space. Everyone wants to recycle but when you're on a deadline you just don't have the time to figure out which bin it should go in. Also, it's a bit of a pain having the recycling sacks lying around until the company come and collect it (if you remember to call them to arrange it...). We keep it cheap and simple so as many people recycle as much as possible. With our integrated recycling service, all recyclable waste goes into the same bin then our cleaners take it outside for our trucks to collect. Easy. We then take it to a big recycling centre where it all gets separated out. Click here to go on a virtual tour of the centre. We deliberately price our recycling very low so more people take it up. We'd rather make a little less profit and make sure everyone recycles. It seems to work. So far this year (2007/08) we have helped companies recycle over 60 tonnes of waste.  |
